My advise is this; GameFAQs is not the right place to talk about these things. When you say something hurtful that you didn't know it was hurtful, it's prolly best to learn from it and accept that term is now hurtful. Sensitive subjects are never easy to talk about so it's best to avoid them and go to a place where people are more tolerant and patient to educate you I guess.

So many people dont even get why a woman who changes her gender would still be attracted to men because she was already a woman.

This isnt about me personally learning. Its about setting the culture and environment. When new people who dont know see the smallest things getting attacked, they just will be quiet out of fear and never try to learn.

If thats what you want, go ahead and keep pretending this is common knowledge. Its really not.

Ignoring how people just wont care that much, researching wont teach you certain expectations. If I researched, nothing would tell me to refer to celebrities transitioning as their new name instead of the old as a title or reference. Id probably have to learn that nuance socially.

Maybe Im getting duped, but TC eventually learned because he edited the OP. Understandingly, he defended his decision originally because he viewed the responses as unreasonable.

Again, I truly think he changed when I actually provided a logically alternative. And he did.

But this idea that people can just research it is insane. You cant just research social issues and be flawless. Or anything really. Go research investing and tell me if youll immediately know the difference between index funds and ETFs without being directed.

Nobody is getting attacked for deadnaming/misgendering once or twice by accident. It's the repeated, intentional act of doing it, even when multiple people are explaining why it's harmful (or at least indicating that it's harmful behavior and leaving it up to you to research why), that gets people attacked and shamed.

Even if I hadn't "deadnamed" Page they still would have found some reason to crucify me. Because that's what radicals do. Doesn't matter if they're on the right or left, they all behave the same. They silence you. They don't care about discussion, they fear discussion. They fear any form of dissenting opinion. Not much different than the tactics used by Goebbels in Nazi Germany. That is why I made that topic, because no group should be above critique.

You can't without offending someone or some mod. I was modded recently in a topic asking if there was more than 1 gender. I never once said anything about transgender people or was the topic talking about them. There are 2 genders. Male and female. Either gender can be swapped so I'm not sure where the mod or the person who marked me was offended. I was mocking people who identified as chairs or animals, but it was somehow turned into me mocking people who were transgendered. I disputed it, but of course mods are never wrong and it was upheld without a response.
