This whole democrat vs republican thing often boils down to urban living vs rural living. Cities are heavily liberal, rural areas are heavily conservative. Perhaps there is a way to set up two separate different sub-countries within our boundaries? The boarders would be weird af though. I don't know what the answer is, but in my eyes that is clearly the root of the problem in this country. Republicans won the popular vote as recently as 2004. They're perfectly capable of doing so. I am Republican and think Trump should drop his case. He lost. But future elections should go back to the standard voting procedure.
