That is until you see a strange door in one of the rooms that intrigues you because somehow you've never noticed it before. You thought you knew the place well. "Hey what's with this sideroom? Has this always been here?" You ask "Oh that's my trophy room where I put all the trophies I earned. I used to be very active but I gave that sort of thing up a while ago." Your girlfriend states with a hint of humble bragging. "Your trophy what?" You say. You open it and it's like finding El Dorado, there are shelves and display cabinets with trophies everywhere gleaming golden/silver reflected light, Cups, plates, plaques, certificates, badges, medals all crammed into tight spaces like sardines yet beautifully displayed so you can see everything... but then your amazement fades into puzzlement as you look closer and see that the trophies were blatantly not won by her You see trophies dated from the 1950s, a British Bronze Swimming Certificate for some guy called Arnold, 2nd place is a men's shot put tournament, and so on "1997 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships, Nevada Indoor Rowing Medal, Break Dancing Finalist Badge, Tekken Tag 2 E-sports League B Winners Plaque, Canadian Bowling League 3rd place Ribbon? Jamican Gastro S-... Why do you have these other peopl-" As you turn around and she's giving you that look. https://i.imgur.com/CkrPByK.mp4 "As I said. They are my trophies. And I am very proud to have won Every. Single. One." she says slowly without blinking. The room feels like it just got a couple of degrees colder. Inverse to boyfriend if you're that way inclined.
