It's a fucking dumpster fire on PS4, yet on PS5 it looks and plays completely fine. Not as good-looking as the PC version but totally serviceable, and the frame rate is near a locked 60fps.

And this is supposedly backwards compatibility mode?

I suspect it's still going to not look as good as pc, by virtue of AMD GPUs not having good raytracing performance

Yeah. My cousin played it while I was over. I was playing something on a different tv cause I didn't want spoilers, but he had no complaints. All his complaints were aimed at Demon Souls for being Demon Souls lol. He made good points that were specific to him, but I literally urged him not to buy it the entire way. We grew up together and I knew it wasn't gonna work.

Honestly, it looks and plays completely fine. The biggest drawbacks are more related to how much extra clutter there is and of course the ray tracing. The locked 60 frames per second and resolution above 1080p helps a lot to mitigate its last gen-ness.

Take a look at the technical specs of the PS4 versus the PS5.





Almost five times the teraflops, over twice the processor, and using twice the RAM, which is a hell of a lot faster than previous gen. I'm amazed the game even boots up on PS4 without spontaneously combusting.

He said he'd borrow me it and I made the jome about my ps4 exploding as soon as I put the disc in. They should of just made it a next gen game. It would of pissed so many people off, but I mean...look where we are.

CDPR is primarily a PC developer. I don't even think the first Witcher made it to console, but Witcher 2 and 3 performed relatively well there. They couldn't keep their fantasies grounded when developing for consoles. There's no doubt in my mind that they built this with high-end PCs in mind.

For all the anger being directed at CDPR's way, remember all the bullshit No Man's Sky went through. It took about 8 months of work for it to be even close to the standards set by pre-release hype, and now is generally considered a good game. Cyberpunk 2077 will get there in time.

This makes me hyped. Got the Xbox one version and when it comes out for series x (and I have that console) Ill be happy to replay it with better graphics

Honestly, I think if you have a next-gen console Cyberpunk is totally fine on them. But good gravy is it awful on ps4.
