I think I inadvertently stumbled upon one of those "paralogue" battles I've heard so much infamy about. And holy shit, from what I've experienced, they deserve the hate.

I tried doing this one battle that requires Balthus and Hapi, and unfortunately, the battle's average level is 14, and Balthus is 10, and Hapi is 8. They're already severely underleveled for this.

But thinking there's somehow a chance this could work. I tried doing it anyway. And the first bullshit thing is that all 10 of your units are spread all over the map. They're all separated and alone. My first thought was, "What fresh hell is this?" And I tried several times to get a couple units to survive, but considering there was at least one loss every time I reset, I decided to just take the loss since I was on Casual anyway.

What sucks is that I wasn't expecting something like this, so at least 2 units, Balthus and Hapi are dead weight. Technically, I've only got 8 units to work with.

And there's a shit-ton of powerful enemies on the map, and almost all of them are long range fighters. Magic users and archers everywhere. And it feels like there's no end to them.

I'm slowly chipping away at the enemy units with roughly 5 units and I'm thinking maybe there's a chance I can get through this, when suddenly there came reinforcements. And it wasn't just 2, or 3, or 5... I kept counting and there was like, 15 fucking reinforcements. Just when I thought I might have a chance to beat this, there's now 30 enemies on the map VS my 5 units. It's fucking ridiculous. I tried recording it with the Switch video capture, but it went on longer than 30 seconds.

And at this time, the boss has moved in on my units, and he has 1 HP left. I'm thinking, "Well, maybe I can at least get rid of this powerful asshole." He was pretty strong, so getting him out of the way might help. Nope. I defeat him and he transforms into a 2x2 fucking dragon. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?!

Holy fucking shit, fuck everything about this. This is goddamn impossible. I'm betting doing this on Lunatic Classic would require new game+ at least.

I dunno if I can level up enough in time to do these "paralogues" before they disappear. But I'll try.
