that they committed to themselves? I hope the answer is yes but there are truly horny people out there that are crazy enough to pay for porn. I hope other websites won't do what the hub did but if they did it would mean the death of great amateur porn as well as free pro porn.

They did this to combat child pornography, revenge porn, etc. Well, companies like Visa and Master Card forced their hand. So again, weird thing to hope for lol you still have a bunch of amateur and free porn on the same site.

That really isn't the biggest problem. The problem is removing content uploaders who upload or reupload from multiple sources including other people's amateur videos to professional ones.

The industry has the money and pull to set up their own payment processors but they didn't and thus why the hub is being scraped dry of anything good. This was preventable, they knew for years that payment processors wanted to deplatform porn actors.

That's how it's always been. 5-10% of porn are original, 90-95% are sharing what the 5-10% produce. Millions of dicks and vaginas were happy and the ones posting original stuff are happy too that they get money for their stuff. The hub just took the easy way out of removing underage and sex trafficking content which all sites should do( remove them asap) but they found another way to make money which is take a % from original content sales.

It was never a good site to begin with. Far better options for accessibility, UI and amount of content.

And unfortunately some people took advantage of that to upload revenge porn and doing things against others consent along with the underage and trafficking stuff that's mentioned. So I can't really be angry at a website for taking measures against that. At least it's easier for the original content creators to actually get their revenue.

It's tough because inherently we're really talking about a seedy underbelly that's rife for abuse and there's no real easy answer on how to handle it.
