I feel like i was seeing it pop up for years like it was guaranteed to be a GOAT tier game.

wtf the game wasnt even out so why were people even coming to that conclusion?

I played the tabletop game back in the '80s-90s, that's why I was interested.

planned features were drip fed/"leaked" and people assumed a lot of details and shit from the pen and paper game would be in, like the ability to RP and do the whole game as as Rockerboy, Netrunner, Corpo, Cop, Nomad etc. I even remember people describing the Trauma Team and playing as them YEARS before that gameplay trailer featuring them came out. I think that was originally the plan but scope was reduced and they all got amalgamated and then eventually cut to what they are now. Plus I guess there was a lot of good will due to how their Witcher games were.

I told my people that I refunded my copy of the game (PS4, and got 6 definitive editions for several games with the money thanks to end of the year deals) and it's insane how many people are trying to defend it.

Being elitist saying it was never meant for console... like... okay, sure.

But they can't even defend the game besides saying it's "fun"

I played 10 hours of the game, it's not fun, outside of the main and side missions the world itself feels lifeless, the NPCs are all copy pasted the same shuffling about, which is a shame because the city is beautiful but graphics DONT make a game.

There's no end game content, there's no new game + (yet), there's no minigames or true dynamic events, there's barely any buildings to go into and when you do, like the few bars and clubs you can enter they are DEAD as fuck. Shit driving mechanics, shit A.I. which either rush you, lob a grenade at you, or not react to you at all.

Techno Wizard is just peaking outside a corner and using suicide for the entire game. It's boring, there are completely useless perks. There's not fucking BARBER to change my appearance for photo mode since there is no 3rd person (which is okay, but what the fuck at the lack of post creation customization)

What a waste of an open world. I'll see ya next year with the $20 definitive edition.

I'm not preordering shit anymore from any companies. Enough is enough. It pays to be patient.

No, but I play this game to feel immersed and the game doesn't make me feel immersed when dip shit AI is running infront of my vehicle that's not aiming at them.

They all have the same walking animations, they don't even acknowledge or look at you if you talk to them. Like c'mon, it's basic shit to have an NPC -turn- and acknowledge you like they would in real life. Pretty much any other game does this successfully.

It's an open world game that feels lifeless from my ten hours of gameplay. Vapid... dead.
