But I guess even that is wrong. Trying to schedule my annual health assessment (physical).

Did the online questionnaire three weeks ago and started calling the numbers for the clinic. First one directed me to another number that's for a regional appointment scheduling center. So I call that. The rep tells me they don't process Navy requests but gives me another number for the clinic.
That number doesn't work.

Finally go online to the Healthcare portal and just schedule an appointment there. Three weeks ago. Get a call today, the date of my appointment, saying they don't handle physicals and I need to call the other clinic. Except the number they gave me gives a busy tone every time I call.

What the fuck man. Just want to make sure my ducks are in a row at a basic level and can't even do that

Not without a referral from your primary care provider unless it's an emergency situation. For sick calls and urgent situations you can call a hotline to get a referral but not for routine stuff like this

I can't recall, are you about to make an appointment with you PCM through that TOL Patient Portal?

@Esrac That's what I did three weeks ago and they just told me "Oh we don't do PHA's that way".

Finally got it set up, at least it's gonna be telephonic

I hurt my shoulder back in July.

Tried to setup my first appointment to have a consultation about it at the VA clinic in August, didnt get an appointment till September, had to wait to schedule the MRI until November, took well over a month to get a letter in the mail telling me the MRI results showed I had two tears in my labrum and their diagnosis was take NSAIDs and wait 4-6 weeks to see if symptoms improve.... gee thanks, I guess the 0 improvement in the 5 months since the injury wasnt enough those extra 4 weeks should do the trick.

Now I have to wait 4-6 weeks just to get a consultation for surgery, which will take another month of scheduling at least, just to get an appointment for a surgery that will likely have to be scheduled months in the future.

At this point Im contemplating paying out of pocket to get care outside of the VA just to get my quality of life back. Having a pretty much useless arm is so freaking depressing, its killed my entire lifestyle. The bureaucracy of these government ran facilities is just horrendous.

Lmfao I tried to schedule an appointment via phone for annual health assessment after lunch one day.

Took over a two minutes before it stopped playing 3 of prerecorded messages for options and stuff before putting me through and then waited over ten minutes before giving up.

Eventually just went to the clinic and scheduled in person.
