As in, you entered tournaments for it or played it seriously in an online ranked mode.

If yes, what game?

Won 3rd place medal in Michigan Masters last year for Windjammers

Did EVO this year since it was online and finished in the top 24

That's pretty much the only game I've ever done well in competitively

Yes, DDR

Have placed in locals and made top 16 in a couple nationals, and at one point held a couple world records on doubles

Although, come to think of it, I have made money playing games competitively

My lifetime gaming earnings:

$33 - Cadence of Hyrule
$25 - Crypt of the Necrodancer
$20 - Pokemon Puzzle Challenge

I also competitively play Zelda 1/Zelda 2/Super Mario Bros 3 randomizer and SpyParty

I know this is going to come as an absolute shock to everyone that knows me, but I was a big Hot Shots Golf player during the PS3/Vita era and participated in online tournaments. Twice a year, for Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds, they ran an event called the Players' Club that went through multiple cuts, so you had to play continuously well. I made the finals in two or three of those tournaments, and my best finish was 3rd overall. I tried to go get the screencap on hotshotsgolf.com, but that forum has been wiped and now I am sad.

Never got too competitive in vidya aside from a minor stint in TF2. Mostly because I'm bad at video games.

I think the closest i ever came to 'competitive' was playing in a Counter Strike Source 'league' on Enemydown back in the day. In reality it was just a bunch of us from Gamefaqs having a laugh.

Board 8(mostly) had a serious League of Legends team early on in the games life.

We were actually relatively good compared to the teams out there at the time. 5 vs 5 league is a completely different game than the solo/duo queue most people are familiar with.

I was top 50 on the leaderboards in UMVC3 Ten years ago but I never entered any tournies for it.

I played overwatch competitive but the best I've ever done is Gold rank, which is considered low. But I think platinum and diamond are considered low too so fuck all of them anyways . It's the most toxic enviroment I've ever taken part of and i retired from it like a year or so ago. Role queue wasn'ta thing last time i played .

Funny enough games I didnt actually take seriously are the ones I played in locals. Local Hastings held tournies for Nintendo games and the prizes were gift cards so i was like yay free money. Smash, Mario kart. Splatoon and pokken one time too.the only one I did not consistently win was smash. I was undefeated in Mario Kart. I still have some receipts from my entries and some of the blank gift cards saved as trophies. I used to buy a victory Faygo every time too and i have a bottle saved from that too.

One time the person that would charge up the free card wasn't there so they couldn't give me money. But they gave a big ass Yoshi RC car instead. At the time I could be sold it for like 70 but I kept it. Again, another trophy (=

Hastings has closed and the store that replaced it SAIDthey were gonna do tournies but never did

Payed my rent for a few years off of my winnings from smash tournaments (melee, brawl, smash4, project M)

Have been to a few tournaments for various other fighting games. Mainly marvel3 but I also played rivals of aether, blazblue tag battle, sf5, and marvel infinite.

Went to two in person league of legends tournaments as well

Keep telling myself I want to get competitive at this or that (Smash, chess, Pokemon Showdown) but not actually putting in the work to do so.

I played competitive (but also console) Overwatch at a high level for a short while, to the point where I was fairly high in the EU top 500 and I was in a team competing in tournaments for (piddly amounts of) money. I played MK Wii competitive but less seriously, as well as some FIFA/Halo tournaments at cons. I'm also planning on joining Link to the Past speedrunning tournaments soon, particularly for randomiser (my times are good enough to qualify and probably get through a round or two in tourneys, but I don't have the streaming setup rn to actually compete given the rules).

I was high on the 360 leaderboards for vanilla MvC3, but I didn't go to any locals, and definitely wouldn't have eliminated MarlinPie in that.

I played basketball and track fairly competitively in high school.

I don't think I've ever gotten seriously competitive about a game.

What I mean by that is that I've never dedicated time solely to improving, and have always prioritized having fun. If something is ever unfun, I stop. I've also never put in the work to seriously analyze my play.

With that in mind, I've spent time grinding competitive ladders in a casual manner. Starcraft 2 and Rocket League are standouts. This means I've capped at diamond in sc2 and champ in rocket league, never getting any Grand Champion titles.

I've spent time getting better than all of my local peers at a particular game- Halo: CE, Halo 2, Armagetron Advanced, and various fighting games (NetherRealm Studios ones in particular) but never been good enough to win online and have never attempted tournaments

Tekken 7

I used to go to my monthly local and I usually did pretty well, but I never won. I frequently came in 4th, so I almost never won any money lol. I really miss going to locals. :(

I came in 193rd out of 1900 at last year's EVO though, so I was pretty proud of that. Top ten percentish ain't bad at all.

this. We would often go head to head and hold our own against players who went on to become household league names. Out laning Dyrus top lane in a match was a particular highlight for me.

Also prior to 5s we were pretty awesome at Twisted Treeline with Shoe, but TT never really saw any competitive play. I'm curious how things would have gone if we had been able to put some serious time into competitive 5s events.

lifetime winnings of $25 in Hearthstone and made top 100 in Legend multiple times (never finished a month that high, though)

made top 100 in the most recent Pokemon Player's Cup (got absolutely smashed by a former World Championship runner-up) and have made top cut in a couple of random online tournaments

and i play league of legends "seriously" but I've been hardstuck in platinum for 5 years so it's not like that's ever turning into anything real

oh, and I finished season 1 of TFT in Grandmaster (peaked in challenger) but I burned out really hard afterwards and still don't even want to play the game anymore

Me and some buds entered RLCS in rocket league and won a couple games one time. We also had another time where we took a game off the team that ended up winning the whole division and we were the only team to do so.

I also went to an official GF pokemon tournament in gen 5, but lost first round cause of a stupid critical hit.
