Does it seem corny as a long time hip hop fan? That's my worry. Usually when stuff blows up like this, it's not directed at the hip hop audience and cast a bigger net for people who think Hip Hop is only about 3 things before they experience stuff like this. Is it just like a concept album turned into a play?

The recording they released is... not the best. Experiencing it live makes such a world of difference it's not even comparable. The Hamilton, Jefferson and Eliza in my show were perfect.

It's great. I fucking love it, I ain't here for the bars though but the women. They steal the show every time imo. Musical didn't hit the mark until satisfied though.

I thought that it was well written, but the music just goes on and on, and I'm not the biggest history guy, so there was only so much of the subject matter I could take.

It's more Lin was reading a book about Hamilton and felt like a bunch of the fighting among founding fathers were a lot like some of the fueds you see between hip hop artists.

it's one of the best movies from 2018, IMO.

That actually makes perfect sense. Some "musicals" just have a song thrown in here and there that kind of relate to the characters feelings or what they're going through.

Others are kinda similar to an Opera where almost the entirety of the story is told through song.

I can't comprehend why people like it. It's not poorly executed by any means, and LMM is very talented, but the concept is so fucking corny and cringey.
