I know CE said it was poo but I thought I'd check it out anyway

I like how grounded it has been so far. Although this adaptation of Penguin is dull as fuck

Yeah its not great but if youre into the Telltale style of game then its at least worth a play through. Not as bad as Game of Thrones or the third Walking Dead but definitely not above average.

Is the second one similar to the first? I enjoyed playing the first one..

The first season was good

all of the rest are a mess

The series really hinged on Lee

I thought both Telltale Batman games were among their better games. I'd place them right after Walking Dead Season 1, Tales from the Borderlands and Wolf Among Us. They offer a very unique take on the Batman mythos.

I havent gotten around to playing the second one yet but Id put the first one behind Walking Dead seasons 1 and 2, The Wolf Among Us, Borderlands, and Back To The Future, with the caveats that I have not played The Walking Dead Final Season, Minecraft Storymode, or Guardians of the Galaxy.

TellTale's best game IMO, was the borderlands one by far because even the writers said they had so many creative freedom to do what they wanted with the series unlike say Game of Thrones.

But yeah the only thing I like about the Batman Telltale games is that it probably has the best concentration as Bruce Wayne, but the game comes to a halt when you have to play as Batman because Telltale games still doesn't know how to do action right.

Game of Thrones was especially frustrating because theres actually a good game to be made there if they would have quit trying to tie it to the show and have main characters from the show appear for basically no reason. They had the solid foundation for a good story but butchered it.

The choices you make change the story a hell of a lot more in the second game.

This has always been the sword of damocles hanging over Walking Simulators

Until Dawns "everyone can die" approach was nice but most games have no actual consequences

If there were any plans on making a sequel for it Id say go for it but as it is the story pretty much ends on a series of cliffhangers and theres no indication that any other studio is going to pick it up so. Probably better off.

Like I said its completely frustrating because there is a real story there and the family they introduce is good and the characters are compelling, but every episode theres a part where in order to advance the plot you have to go meet X Character That Youll Recognize From the TV Show Wink Wink And Isnt It Cool That We Got The Actors From The HBO Series To Come Read Lines For This and it all just feels very forced and even though there are a LOT of cool parts, some of the best in all of TellTales history, it just doesnt make up for the crap.

A second Game of Thrones season was planned way back in 2015, but it never got off the ground before Telltale went bankrupt in 2018. And now that people have mostly soured on Game of Thrones, I don't think it'll ever see the light of day.

Reminds me of when Jesus turns up in the Telltale game for literally no reason and everyone just kinda is in awe of him even though he had nothing to do with anything

I wasnt bothered by the cameo appearances in the Walking Dead games for the most part - probably because they were based on the comic book versions and not the show, and because they didnt super largely impact the story decisions in the developers.

Contrast that with Game of Thrones, where you have one character who is a sell sword in Slavers Bay, and one who is inexplicably a handmaiden to a Lady from a Southron house, the oldest daughter of a Great Houses, no less and wife of the king, and these are never, ever explained in-game but are obviously written as an excuse to give us the same points of view as the show and to give all the show characters cameos.
