I must confess, I liked the Double Dragon movie. My brother and I rented it all the time and we would move the coffee table so we could do karate kicks during the fight scenes. We used to do the stupid Double Dragon hand shake and I wanted a graffiti jacket so bad. The entire movie felt like it was filmed in the foot clan's hideout from the first TMNT movie. Also, we thought Abobo was disgusting and we would rewind the tape so we could talk shit about his gross, veiny neck. Also Robert Patrick, the actor who played the T-1000 in Terminator 2 was the big bad in this movie, a far cry from the badass Shadow Master from the Double Dragon cartoon, which we no doubt projected onto this cheese dick movie.

What are some of your horrible videogame movies that you have fond memories of?

The first RE movie is solid, it just has nothing to do with RE.

Half of the Warcraft movie is pretty good.

I really liked Silent Hill: Revelation. I don't think they could have cast a better Heather than Adelaide Clemens, and Carrie-Anne Moss made a pretty good Claudia. Some of the visuals were fascinating (the scene of young Alessa tearing the town apart with her powers still gives me chills), and we got another Akira Yamaoka/Mary Elizabeth McGlynn song out of it. ^_^

I actually found a copy of that crummy Mortal Kombat animated movie with the bad CG at a thrift store. It's even worse than I remembered it.

wonder if it's better than the new animated "remake" of the first movie, scorpion's revenge, since i didn't like that one much either.

anyways i watch prince of persia from time to time since they did decently with what they had to work with.

I think that to the average person it's a bad movie but to a fan of Mortal Kombat, it's actually pretty true to the source material. The first MK is awesome, Annihilation is barely a movie.

I flipped when the actor who plays Lui Kang showed up in that one live action Chun-Li movie.

To me it seems to be the other way around. Average people seem to like it fine while MK fans don't because of the lack of violence and fatalities, which is a fair criticism, but it doesn't ruin the movie.

There were fatalities.

Shang Tsung sucked the soul out of that one guy. Sonya broke Kano's neck.

Though I get what you're saying. Aside from Scorpion and Sub-Zero, Liu Kang threw a total of one fireball, kind of.

I mean there weren't any real gory fatalities. No heads or limbs being ripped off, no hearts being ripped out of chests, etc. There was the one guy who gets frozen and smashed by Sub Zero, but there wasn't any blood or anything. That's the main criticism I hear about the movie and many fans will completely write the movie off as bad.

John Leguizamo is one of my favorite actors and so is Bob Hoskins, too. It has that mid-90s energy and a weird fetish-punk style to it.

I freaking love the Super Mario Bros film. It is the most batshit insane interpretation of any source material, ever.

Bob Hoskins and John Leguizamo are excellent actors.

In my household, the sir, the Goombas are dancing again gets used a fair bit.

Mario Bros is one of my go to bad movies. Up there with the room.

I liked the Tekken movie for some reason. They made more effort with the costumes than most video game movies, but got pretty much everything else wrong.

Mortal Kombat Annihilation is hilarious. No idea what they were thinking with that one.
