I'm enthralled by the scifi/horror genre at the moment. I was worried that playing SOMA would ruin System Shock 2 for me, but I can see they're two very different games. SS2 let's you get on some action pretty early on. I'm like more than an hour into SOMA and still walk-simming.

Holy shit I just had my first adrenaline rush as I had to sprint upstairs after being spotted by a robot and then close myself up in a hiding spot. I just had to hope the thing couldn't open doors or detect me in there somehow. Lol

Yeah, much different game than SS2, so I'll still be able to enjoy it some day.

Absolutely. They can be well done. I think the first Layers of Fear is a great horror game despite practically all you do is walking and inspect items.

Haven't tried the likes of Edith Finch or SOMA though, so I'll be looking forward to trying those out as well.

Holy shit I finally got past that sentry in the comms room. That bastard had me pinned down. I'm guessing I'll continue to feel like a helpless mouse running/hiding from cats throughout the duration of the game.
