I was at an airport a few years waiting for my gate to open. There was a couple sitting for a different gate but around the same area and they had three kids. For whatever reason one of the kid just started screaming bloody mary and acted like someone put him in a figure four leg lock and would not let him go. The kid's scream was resounding in the airport. Everyone looked over to see what the problem was. From what I can see, the mother was unable to tame her child and started having a breakdown herself because of it. She literally fell down and started sobbing at the fact that her kid would not shut the fuck up. The father then started consoling the mother over it while the kid was still screaming at the fucking top of his lungs. The father resulted in covering the kid's mouth and took him to the restroom.

I don't know if that was bad parenting or maybe the kid had issues but my god that was a horrible experience and I would never ever want to be in that situation.

Just last night I was shopping at Walmart and this couple had this super unruly child in their cart. The kid was screaming, kicking and just straight yelling hard as fuck sounding like he was tryna turn Super Saiyan for 5 episodes straight. The parents did little to nothing. Everyone in the store heard and was staring at the situation. You can hear people literally talking trash about bad parenting and judging hard at the family. The parents gave no fucks from what I can see.

It's like.... god damn.

It's annoying at the time but it's a tiny window into their overall life. I usually have sympathy for them but I'll never know the whole story.

the idea that you have to "tame" a child like they're an animal is abusive

I saw a 4 year old girl at the bottle depot this morning who pushed over her mom's sorted cans, threw a can at her mom, then try to punch her mom when she tried to get hold of the girl to talk to her.

The mom was either super relaxed about the behavior or she was too pissed to deal with it, or the daughter has some kinda of genuine behavioral or mental health issue I guess.

I wouldn't know how to handle a kid that truly doesn't give a fuck. That girl was nuts and it wasn't even like a tantrum.

Whenever my daughter would act up in public one of us would take her to the car and sit there while the other finishes in the store.

Kids learn real fast that they dont want to boringly sit in the car.
