One more fuck up and I lose all my financial aid (about $5,000 per quarter) permanently no if, ands or buts. That would effectively prevent me from going to college at all. If I so much as get anything below a B in any of my classes from now til August that counts as a fuckup. If you get a nice enough advisor theyll go to bat for you. Community college its easier to get it accepted as they need retention numbers, universities its a bit harder but if you did good at first then dropped off they get a bit more forgiving. This is an exact quote from my appeal letter: "Failure to meet these terms and conditions will result in the suspension of aid *without the option to appeal*. If a repayment is owed, it must be paid in full before registering for classes or ordering official transcripts" Thanks for the tip on the sob stories, I hadn't thought much about that before. I need to make sure I'm advocating for myself and taking responsibility. I promised to do so in my appeal.
