He says at this point "Bernard doesn't know for sure, but I can't deduce any further", making this info known to Bernard.

So Bernard now knows he can rule out June and May. Leaving July 14/16 and August 14/15/17

Bernard would now know the answer if he had a 15, 16 or 17, as they are isolated now. Which he does and says so, stating he didn't know, as he did not have a 18 or 19, but he knows now as he has a single date tied to a single month. This rules out July 14th and August 14th, as Bernard would have been stuck if he had a 14.

Albert uses this info to look at the available days and sees August 15, August 17 and July 16. For Albert to now be able to state he knows the birthday now, he must have June as it's again isolated, if he had August, he'd be stuck between the 15 and 17.
