You're with your German friend who is a superhero (You're one of the few who know their dual identity) but they're also not American.

They spend their free time fighting crime, stopping rapists, murderers, gun runners, warlords, arsonists etc. But when they see this on the news they feel conflicted. "I mean they're breaking the law but this is a highly volatile internal political affair right? If I get involved and physically stop them, won't that just make things worse?" they say

"Hey [Your Name]. You know more about America than me. Should I stop them? I'm so conflicted I don't know what to do."

Yeah he attended a free Tibet event didn't he? and China said him doing that was an official statement by the US government. So he had to renouce his citizenship to avoid a political shitstorm.

I liked that idea but I don't see where it could go.
