They seem to like Trump just because he's the President - it was the same with Obama - but are virtually clueless to anything he's done. It's a combination of their cultural blind respect for elders and bureaucracy, and their fascination/idolization with modern American culture. They support Trump purely because Trump is against China and these countries have generally huge animosities against China and the communist party too. Of course, this is a minority but it does align with the overall anti-China sentiment found prevalent in TW, JP and SK. Taiwan is particularly fond of Trump from a survey I read before.
