If there was a cult and they all loved and followed their leader. Then one day you said "No your leader is bad!" Then you took them away, said they could never talk about them again, then punished anyone or anything that ever talked about him.

You'd effectively turn them into a God in the eyes of the people you took them from.

Your basically giving him 2024 on a silver platter.

If you just let them exist and fester they'd kill their own support after he leaves office. But now they are turning him into a martyr. His supporters will feel attacked and like they have to go underground and create grass roots movements.

On that note, I think it's weird the media is doing more to kill Trump supporters and their opinions and ability to communicate. Than it actually does to stop genuinely racist groups.

These people need to be deplatformed. We've always had people like this among us, way before the internet or social media. Social media opens the door for coordination and even outside instigators. You don't think Russian agents wouldn't pass up the opportunity to infiltrate these online groups or blend in at the Capitol on Wednesday? They already said that laptops and other sensitive items were stolen. It's a national security risk.

I said the other day that if the Feds were watching these MAGA groups like they do black activists then we wouldn't have this problem.

Even the context of each protest is completely different. One is for rampant police brutality on people of color, and other injustices. While this one was for uhhh a 'rigged' election. When some simple counting, math, and some reading can clear that up, but it didn't fit their need so they decided to overthrow the government, and tried to blow everything up.
