Kind of happened in the middle of me being on the site. All of a sudden it flashed to the login page. Now any link goes directly to it. But just on desktop. On mobile browsers using the site works fine.

Looking around this started happening to others at the end of last year, and no real solution has been found. Sucks a teeny bit.

End of the ride for me, I guess. Oh well. There are many other sites, though they are less up to date.

Nah, I've never used an account. They kind of did this thing where if you scroll down a script will block you and tell you to sign up. But you can easily bypass that with element hiding. But this is different.

It's no big deal, just a bit interesting. I wonder if they think I am going to bite the bullet and sign up. I guess in their minds they know they currently at least getting unique data or ad revenue from my clicks.

Messing around with useragents doesn't seem to do anything useful.

Yeah, the uBlock Origin team is looking into it. I doubt it's high priority though.

I don't need to look at random photoalbums that badly, like at all.
Of course, this instantly makes IG useless for social sharing outside of the facebook ecosystem, and possible also within.

anyways i just use picuki.com or https://bibliogram.art/

i only really care about 2 instagram accounts so i just search their usernames through the above links without getting blocked by the dumb login page

i could see the use of an account if i wanted to look at a million accounts but nah lol

Gave up on that site ages ago. Every time I've tried making an account, it ends up locking me out after asking for mobile verification for no apparent reason.
