Old game for pc where you hunt dinosaurs in an open world

I loved this game, still do. They ported it to ios in 2011 and i still loved it then

My favorite thing was each Dino was unique, you could find a T rex that was small, normal sized, or fucking huge, after being hunted theyd appear in your trophy room and it would show you stats of all the dinos you killed

My friends would compete to see who could get the biggest of each Dino, and chasing those rare giant beasts was some of the most fun Ive had gaming

I feel like this is a type of gameplay is overlooked by devs. They know players are willing grind for hours to get something considered rare, but they go about it in a way that takes the fun out of it. They want everyone to have the same chances of obtaining these things.

Think of Destiny 2, you see someone using a crazy exotic weapon that helps get through strikes and whatnot, but the way to get it is doing mindless tasks for hours following a guide you found on the internet. Go here, kill 10 of these, talk to this dude, get 20 headshots, talk to this guy again

I know not everyone likes grinding for shiny Pokmon, or killing the same boss in RuneScape 1000 times for an expensive item, but I dont wanna see that type of gameplay die, because it does work

second one wasnt as good, cant remember why tho. I think it was full of bugs

but when you get a kill shot on those tiny eyes from 200km away its pretty damn satisfying
