ccording to prosecutors, Rittenhouse was seen at a local bar with his mother about 90 minutes after the arraignment, and his presence and behavior were confirmed by surveillance video.
Rittenhouse was seen with other individuals flashing "the 'OK' sign, which has been co-opted as a sign of 'white power' by known white supremacist groups," and was "directly served a beer by the bartender," the motion said.

The document also states that Rittenhouse turned 18 this month and lives in Illinois. "Under Illinois law, it is a Class A Misdemeanor for anyone under the age of 21 to possess or consume alcohol in a public place," the motion states.
In Wisconsin, however, it is legal for someone under the age of 21 to possess and consume alcohol if a parent is present.

So... what's the problem, if he's drinking with his mom in Wisconsin?

In Wisconsin it's legal for minors to drink in a bar if they are accompanied by a parent or guardian who's 21 or older. I don't believe the bartender is allowed to serve him directly though, the parent has to be the one ordering the drinks.

Article strongly implies that the prosecution hasn't established those restrictions yet.
Regardless, there's no point in bringing up Illinois law in the context of something that happened in not-Illinois.

Regardless of guilt or innocence, seems like a petty power play from the opposition. I hate that court cases can be so swayed by pointless shit like that. He's either a murderer or acted in self-defense. Nothing he did there seems to have had anything to do with that, so it should be considered a waste of time to the court unless he does something truly against the conditions set out for him.

Yes it's pretty common for people who continue to get into questionable at best situations to get them modified. "You're now also banned from meeting any of your former acquaintances/ you're now on house arrest/ you must take your meds" are more common ones.

I will definitely agree that it's stupid to assume that's what it is in most cases. It's usually used to actually mean "okay", or the whole "haha you looked now I get a free punch" thing.

But when a known white supremacist, interacting with other known white supremacists, is doing it... it's probably a safe bet that in that case, it's not being used to mean "okay" or "gotcha".

And I am not someone who makes a habit of calling everything I possibly can a "white supremacist" symbol.

It hasn't ever been in and of itself any one thing, since it has always had different meanings all over the world. That's why this particular hand sign was chosen by the 4chan dorks in the first place. This worked out incredibly well for the white supremacists using it unironically (who coincidentally overlap greatly with the 4chan dorks) because now, when someone points out actual instances of it being related to white supremacy (like with baby brownshirt and his fascist friends here) they can say "b-b-b-but it means other things!"

Dog whistles and other similar things thrive on a certain level of plausible deniability and every time someone tries to highlight the innocuous meanings in instances like this, where it is quite painfully clear what context they're using it in, they're giving cover to shitbags.
