But he's too repressed/proud so he can't just say "Fuck me, Yami!" like he so desperately wants. Yugi went to get it back, and Yami challenged him to a shadow game. Kaiba was about to make a winning move, but Egypt magic made the Blue Eyes disobey Kaiba (because it didnt belong to him) and he lost the match. Important to note here is that this was still when Yami was a sadistic psychopath. As punishment for losing the game, Kaiba suffered the experience of death Penalty Game, which was a hallucination that he was being brutally murdered by the monsters from the card game. Kaiba is a bit miffed. So sometime later Kaiba challenged Yugi to Death-T which was a series of ludicrous games with the it life on the line. (Like Tristan nearly got crushed by Tetris blocks and they did laser tags against trained assassins) When they finished Death T Yugi witnessed Kaiba beating Grandpa in a game. Except this was inside a special hologram cube arena. Kaiba revealed that he scoured the earth for three other BEWD cards, implying he even drove someone to suicide to secure one copy, and summoned them all at once to flex on Grandpa. He THEN reveals that the actual reason he developed this hologram box was to recreate the experience of death penalty game he suffered as revenge, and he inflicts it on Grandpa. He then challenged Yami to a match and loses. Well now Mokuba comes out and begs for mercy on Seto, and gives Kaibas sad backstory of being abused by Old Man Kaiba, eventually being warped to such cruelty that he stole the company and Gozoboro Kaiba straight jumped out of a window to off himself over it.
