they wanted him to refuse to certify the election results and instead send the results back to the states, something a Vice President legally cannot do

He went from being one of their favorite people to someone that they intended to hang(they actually built gallows outside the capitol) over the course of an hour or so

That sounds more like they're just saying there's no evidence that that was the intent of everyone present, which most people accept as true. There were absolutely people in the capitol that just got caught up in the flow of things and went along for the ride, rather than entering with the intent of killing people. That just means some people don't need to be charged with attempted murder, though, not that the attack on the capitol wasn't an assassination attempt in a broader sense.

The rioters killed two people (the cop that had a fire extinguisher thrown at his head, and "Don't Tread On Me" lady), and were responsible for the death of the woman security forces shot dead as well (same reason as above), so yeah....I think A LOT OF PEOPLE need to be charged with murder (let alone "attempted")!

Yeah, once felony murder comes into play, there'll be a lot of very serious charges here. Even so, not everyone that broke in there was hoping to kill somebody. That was my main point.

No, that sounds like reading comprehension. There are empirical records of some people that broke into the capitol outlining plans to commit murder, and the article you linked does nothing to dispute or change that. It's just pointing out that the entire crowd can't necessarily be treated as would-be assassins because there's no reason to assume that's why they're all there.

If anything, it makes it unclear whether there is direct evidence to currently confirm that either way in the court of law. If you want to talk about confirmation bias, that was clearly present in your post since you were willing to dismiss the possibility completely. I'd say that a mob chanting "hang Mike Pence" makes it at least reasonable to consider that there may have been some intent there.
