Agree TC. They made some good improvements to some of the weapons and the wire bug is a buff to the all the weapons in general. Spent some time this morning trying out the Hammer and its fun as all hell. Can't wait for the game to drop.

Hunting Horn surprised me.
Never touched the weapon in previous games because it's complicated for the sake of it.

Had a sub 5 minute hunt vs Izuchi with it on my first attempt. Fun as hell.

They made the Hunting Horn so much easier to pick up. Weapon is a blast.

They cut out everything that made it awful.
The silkbind attacks for it are great, I got more than 5 kids in that hunt, and was able to relentlessly beat its head in.
Crazy fun, and I'm normally a Swaxe guy.

I'm loving this demo. This is my first time playing Monster Hunter properly. I tried Monster Hunter 4: Ultimate a long time ago, but I couldn't get into it. Almost solely because the 3DS just sucks for that kind of game I think. I thought about giving World a try when that came out, but I passed. But that was a mistake clearly.

Switchaxe was the weapon that caught my eye all the way back in MH4U, and in all likelihood it will be my main weapon for this game. So far I've used that, Lance, Gunlance, Hammer, Longsword, and Greatsword. The two lances and Hammer are excellent as well. The swords are going to take some getting used to. Especially Greatsword.

It's pretty good, I've already kind of burned myself out on it though. Not a fan of the new riding mechanic and the wirebug stuff can be kind of pointless at times but at least the bulk of the gameplay is feeling good so far

Think more like Mario Odyssey.

Its not quite open world but it has several good sized sandboxes with no loading screens.

Same as World.
