I got my first wallet in high school, mostly to put the money for public transport fares and such. I still have it. I don't lose things.

Except glasses. Never give me glasses.

yes, i have!

was wearing some sweats with shallow pockets and they fell out while i was on the bart (train system here in the bay area)

thankfully, somebody who went to the same uni as me found it and messaged me on facebook

he dropped it off somewhere for me to pick up and i told him to take $20 for being such a great dude about it

got real lucky (though i like to think a lot of it was due to karma, too, since i generally try to be real nice and stuff with strangers and their property)

Wore a new pair of jeans for the first time, and apparently, the back pocket wasn't deep enough. Wallet must've fell out while I was on the bus. Lost a hundred-ish bucks, my national insurance kard, and I don't remember what else. Had to spend over an hour walking back home.

Yes, it fell in the bag recycling bin in my first job, luckily NOBODY cleaned it out for a few days and I was the one who did and found it in there.

Lost mine on the bus one time. Realized it as I got out; bus was driving away. Called the bus company; I gave them an accurate description of the bus (time, stop and everything) but those fuckers wouldn't help me and referred me to Lost and Found.

Fast forward to 2 weeks later: I get a call from a cleaning lady who had found my wallet in the folds of the seats of the bus. My phone number was in my wallet at the time so she called it; I got everything back.

100s of dollars in cash, IDs, cards of all sorts, gift cards/credit slips etc.

Left it on a store counter top.

Realized it 5 minutes later. Panicked. Ran back to the store.

No one knew anything.... :(

... But then a kid and his mom came from outside the store (open air store, so I guess they heard me being desperate) and told me they had it, and gave it to me.

Full of everything.

=D

Gave the kid a nice reward.

Yes.

Lost mine once in a Wal-Mart duriny college. It was right after Christmas break so I had about $150 in cash which was rare at the time.

Got a FB message request around 11 pm from some guy saying he found my wallet and we could meet up. I check his FB, and its private, so I google his name out of curiosity/precaution. Get a result for his felony assault charge. Tell myself its fine he has nothing against me.

So I'm omw to a sketchier part of town to meet him at a Walgreens. He messages me again and says he can't get out and to just come to his house. Yellow flags popping up, but tell myself its fine again. Reroute and GPS takes me around to an alley behind his place. Message him saying I have arrived.

A bit on edge, as remember its nearly midnight in a rough part of town. About this time I'm thinking I should have brought someone along, or at least told somebody where I was going, but I was like ~19 so I was dumb. So, I'm scoping the area out when he pops out by my car window and asks for my name. I confirm name

Hands me the wallet back, tells me he found it by the trash can in the bathroom of the Walmart. Thing is, I was never in the bathroom...I either dropped it in parking lot or left it on self-checkout... so I pop it open and of course the cash is gone. I apologize for not being able to give him some $ for his trouble and thank him for getting it back to me. Leave.

Still don't know if he found it, took $ and didn't want to be the worst and gave the cards back. Or if someone else found it, emptied it and dumped it in the bathroom. Doesn't really matter, just thankful I got it back!
