Current Events > Please help me finally finish one of these games. (JRPGs)

I've got a huge backlog of games that I've started and not finished. I can't remember the last time I actually beat a game.

I keep getting bored switching between them or starting a new one.

Here's what I have currently in the go.

Final Fantasy VI - I'm in the world of ruin and I've just recruited Cyan. This is the furthest I've ever been in the game, despite playing it a bunch of times.

Legend Of Dragoon - Halfway through Disc Two on my second time of playing. The first time I got to the end of disc three and just gave up one day.

Legend Of Legaia - Just recruited second party member. Game's kinda slow and boring.

Lufia 2 - Just met the third character. The blonde kid. Haven't played in a while.

FF Tactics - GOAT game, but I've never beat the final boss. Currently on Act 3.

Tactics Ogre: KoL - Haven't played in ages and my save file was corrupted so i need to start again.

Tactics Ogre: LUCT - This game is too goddamn difficult and I hate it.

Jade Cocoon - I'm on, like, the third(?) dungeon. This game is too boring and slow.

Saiyuki: Journey West - Decent game. I was enjoying it for a while, now it's getting a bit samey.

Vandal Hearts 2 - Not as good as the first one. Battles are frustrating and I'm seriously stuck right now.

Earthbound - Just started recently. Having fun.

Breath Of Fire 3 - Just finished Lighthouse dungeon. Good game.

Dragon Quest 6 - Love Dragon Quest, tbh. Hoping this will be the second one I beat.

Suikoden 2 - I want to love it. I really do. But the battles are so boring.

Arc the Lad - Not into this at all.

Onimusha Tactics - I'm on the final boss, I think. But who cares?

FF3 (psp) - Yawn.

Super Mario RPG - I've got four stars, I think. I'd like to finish this at some point for sure.

Xenogears 1 - Too much goddamn reading.

Lunar 2 - I think I was on the second dragon, but my save file died.

Anyone beat these before? Which one should I stick with, CE?

Calling it boring is overly hash, but it does seem really slow. And there's a lot of random encounters.

You need to start FF6 over so that you can replay the plot and remember what is going on.

And beat it.

It's the one I've been playing most recently. It's very fresh. I'm not sure what level I need to be to take on Kefka's tower.

Finish Breath of Fire 3, then FF6, then Earthbound. earthbound is fun.

Breath of Fire 3 is a hard game, don't have him replay that first and foremost.

Get around to Breath of Fire 3, but definitely not first. Maybe 4th or 5th. FF6 is the best place to start and your near the end anyway. Arc the Lad is kinda short, iirc. The 1st game is really basic while the second game is where the series really made it's mark, but you don't sound like you need more RPGs on your plate just yet. Not sure how long I'd say Mario should take, but the max level is 30, so you decide if that's a good thing.

I guess I'll get VI over and done with at long last. I've only been playing it less than a week and I blazed through the first half. The difficulty has spiked a bit now and it's looking like I need to do a load of grinding before I can take on Kefka's tower. I'm averaging level 35 ish and I'm told I need to be around 50+.

That's the one you're furthest on, so should be a cinch to beat.
