Unless you are like a repeat offender and have a long criminal background, I don't see anyone getting a prison sentence for a slap. Unless we are talking another country that isn't the US. Some countries are a lot more strict.

I'm facing a potential $2,500 fine, 1 year in jail and loss of license for going 76 mph in a 55 zone when the highway was dead empty.
