The Quran is a pretty interesting book, to be objective about it.

It is not taught at all in America for the most part (and I wonder if the Bible is not taught at all if you don't go to a religious school), so it's not surprising that many Americans know almost nothing about it.

As nasty as the tapeworm part got,I was still thinking about the egg sandwich Fry ate in Futurama.

I do like my pork but I make damn sure its cooked well and I also keep an eye for recalls and where my pig is from.

If you do all that for each pork product you ever consume you might as well just stop consuming it.

Been trying to do better myself lately. No pork or shellfish. Trying harder to observe the sabbath (Saturday not Sunday) etc

Jesus himself says that all foods are clean though, because what comes out of you is unclean, not what goes into you.

Basically one lesson to learn from Jesus is to follow the spirit of the law, not the letter of the law.

Im skinny as fuck and I don't know if it's hypochondria, but I get stomach pain if I don't eat meat every day. It's like my body just starts eating away at itself when it does have meat. I'm also waaay too poor to not eat meat. The amount Id have to eat in place of it would probably break me. All the fruits I eat already cause a huge dent in my wallet.

But yeah, I trynot to eat pork more than once every 3-4 days. Mostly chicken, then Hamburger

Well it takes 6 calories of "plants" to produce 1 calorie of "meat", and I'd rather get my nutrition straight from the source than a second hand source that involves cruelty and torture. I don't miss eggs, cheese and steak at all, honestly.

I've been to both pig farms and chicken farms.Also milk plants.Out of those,dairy and chicken farms scare me way more.

Catfish eat even more than pigs. It wasn't uncommon to dispose of bodies by feeding them to catfish if they could not be buried back in the 1500s/1600s.

They eat plenty of things pigs won't even go near as well. If it's organic and fits in a catfish's mouth they will eat it.

They also have really big mouths.
