Fish is another thats full of parasites. It makes me shake my head that its deemed such a delicacy and luxurious food in japan and its neghbouring country are following making it super popular particularly the chinese.

Im from the UK and the hygiene and food safety regulator is pretty decent here, you are required to freeze fish to be served raw something like -35c for 72 hours. So its not as scary going to a sushi bar here.

Sushi chefs in Japan tho, they are like nah, it ruins the texture of the fish.

they get their meat from specialty farms though. If you just buy some pork from the grocery store and eat it medium rare youre rolling the dice on getting sick

they did lower the safe cooking temp for pork from 155 to 145 a few years ago though

In most cases you're going to want the internal temperature to get to 180 since the collagen breaks down at 175 ish.

It's "safe" at 145 but it'll taste much better if you get it to 180.

If given the choice pigs would actually be pretty clean. They are only "dirty" because they can thrive in ugly conditions.

I've never had pink pork, but I'd try it from a restaurant.

If we are talking about basic psychology, then by eating animals and justifying their slaughter by saying a God made them for us, you are essentially acting the part of a demon or monstrous entity. You eat the flesh and consume the fear and suffering that comes with it. You consume acidic food that creates mucus and lowers your alkalinity, making you more susceptible to disease and cuts you off from your higher spiritual self. There's a reason why the electromagnetic spectrum, pH scale and chakras/endocrine system are based on the colors of the rainbow. You literally live in a lower quality of of life by consuming meat. Countless studies have shown that a plant-based diet is perfectly and nutritionally balanced for all stages of life, including infancy and pregnancy.

Look at it this way, you don't really see any news stories of vegans grabbing a smoothie and then robbing a local liquor store, lol.

Anything is considered fine in moderation. But if you value your longterm health, you wouldn't eat food for the sake of a short term party on your taste buds. To most people, a meal is a few minutes. Is that brief period of pleasure worth the same in months/years of life for an animal?
