He didn't bash into the front car, but a co-worker's mom couldn't stop and bashed into the car that hard braked. There was a dash cam and to the average viewer, it might seem like the person not paying attention was at fault because there was little time to react for the co-worker's mom. However, the accident ultimately came down to almost entirely the mom's fault. There was only one reason tbh, which was that she didn't keep the proper distance and was also going too fast for the distance she was spacing That's honestly more important than a person outright braking out of maliciousness. If you were like 3 car distance at like 40 mph, I think that's generally considered safe, and a dash cam showed the person in front brake checked, it'd be the car in front that's at fault. I rear ended a dude once after he cut me off because I'd literally just gotten that car on the road and the mechanic who looked it over didnt think the brake lines were rusty enough to be a concern.... Still got cited for following too closely. Which was a mistake on the cops part, imo, but its one that many cops would likely make. Also overall he was a great dude and straight up told the lady who started faking whiplash the moment he got on scene "you can drop it right now. I'm not buying it."
