I always order whatever food they have because I want to try it out.

Has anyone ever gone to bars just to drink? I wonder where the august body that is CE falls on this.

Only with company. When I'm at a bar alone for whatever reason I get something to eat and just have one or two drinks max then split. I hate idling solo at bars.

Only gone to normal bars with people, but we went regularly after they stopped serving food.

Only bar I have been to by myself just to drink were airport bars before a flight or if I had a layover.

I would do this at least once a week.That said I know most of the bartenders and staff.

I used to go to bars alone all the time. It's pretty fun. My therapist recommended doing that to get used to talking to people, and it really helped. I'd play trivia and stuff.

i have after work. i wouldnt take time to go to a bar otherwise

yeah I have. I would sometimes talk with other people there but I'd mostly just get buzzed and watched whatever absurd movie the bar had playing

I will often go out to bars with people just to drink, but I don't think I have ever gone to a bar on my own for the sake of drinking, Homer Simpson style.

There's actually a law in my city stating that all bars are required to sell food.

Before the pandemic, I used to do bar crawls with my girlfriend and invite some coworkers, eventually we would eat at one bar to keep from getting sick but most of the bars we just got a drink, soaked in the atmosphere, and moved on. Other than those, I don't regularly go to bars.

I've definitely gone to just drink. Never have by myself though. Usually after having done something else like work, restaurant, date, w/e

Eh, I wouldn't just randomly go to a bar to drink. I go if I've heard a lot of buzz about a certain bar and they have wild cocktails you can't generally get anywhere else. I wouldn't make a special trip to a bar just to get an old fashioned or anything.

Never been to a bar bar i enjoy pubs though. Get some decent greasy ass food and a few drinks its pretty nice
