I don't get why some people are upset that she was fired. When you work for someone you represent the company you work for, everything you do and say effects them. Freedom of speech doesn't mean you are free from consequences of what you say. She said enough things to make anyone want to distance themselves from her regardless of a trend on Twitter. She didn't come out and say "Hey I voted Trump", no one would care. This isn't an attack on republicans in media, it's not like she wasn't a republican when they hired her.

Every job you've ever had, has had a social media clause since it was invented. Like, people trying to pull this bullshit cancel culture nonsense are just stupid.

The people who are upset that she was fired are exactly the same people who tried to boycott "French Fries" after France decided not to join in on the Iraq War. They're the same people who cancelled the Dixie Chicks, the same people that want to cancel Ilhan Omar for wearing a scarf and the same people who wanted to cancel America for not voting for Trump.

Conservatives LOVE cancel culture, they just dislike it when it has consequences for being vile.

• That she's a bad actress
• That her character was bad

Like there's absolutely no need to pile on top of "she's a right-winger of awful beliefs" and I feel anyone doing that is only telling on themselves.

You know what the best part about this is? None of the other cast and crew of the Mandalorian will be forced to work with her knowing who she is. That's the actual best part.

To those still saying her character wasn't important or that she wasn't a lead role, each season is only 8 episodes long and she's been in 6 episodes including the season finale of both seasons.

That being said with the way Season 2 ended I think we were going to see a shakeup with the cast anyway and it was going to focus more on Mando and Bo-Katan. So it probably wasn't all too hard to write the character of Cara off the show.

Being fired from Disney though is basically being blacklisted from all of Hollywood. What an idiot.

"She wasn't any good at her job anyway" is just sour grapes. It's vocalizing that you feel that your own feelings regarding her role in the show had a chance of influencing whether you'd be for or against her firing.
