Let's look at this from an intelligent POV: On average, an older guy will be much more mature, more ready to start a family, have a better job, more savings, not in college anymore (more free time, less partying/less temptation to cheat on a GF) Life overall in order and has a plan for the future. If I had an 18 year old daughter and her perfect match was a 30 year old with his life together and had genuine intentions for a lifelong relationship I would have no problem with the two of them together for these reasons alone. It's a big age gap sure, but it's legal and if his intentions are good she won't be getting hurt by a perv'd sex fiend. Obviously this requires keen sense of judgement from a parental POV,, but mine is top notch. If i suspect foul play I'll deal with his ass in short order. Common sense. Edit: post above mine gets it.
