I understand Switch is going for a more minimalist approach, but it does hurt it. By sometime in 2013, Nintendo realized that and made all their own games compatible with it, so that you could essentially just not use the gamepad besides messing with settings or special features. I loved the touch screen, mic/voice capabilities, and motion controls.
