Where did that even start? Culture osmosis has had it going around for generations, despite the untruth of it. I have to think that the only media that would take the idea at face value would be a comedy sketch.

I just remember that scene from Breaking Bad where I think it was Badger who brought it up to an undercover cop, but they pretty much just showed it's not a real rule.
