On Bayonetta I believe Platinum is working on a new engine. My guess is Bayo 3 is the first game in the new engine.

Eh people should always just assume that major first party games get new Smash Bros reps. Not sure why people get shocked at this every single time it happens and it'll happen again when some Pokemon Sword/Shield fighter gets announced next.

Smash is in a weird place where if it isn't some shocking new third party character people get angry and disappointed. But inherently Smash Bros is a game based around a Japanese game company. It's gonna have a lot of anime sword fighters because of that. There's not really a quota of 'swords' that they're thinking about and they don't even have a Western developer making new characters for them to use.

Besides in the DLC alone we've had Piranha Plant, Banjo, Terry, Min-Min and Steve who do not use swords.

I'd be happy with any acknowledgment from Nintendo that Metroid still exists. Ports of Zero Mission, Fusion, the prime trilogy, anything

Especially since they're so eager to kill fan projects. If they cant make a good Metroid game, no one can

At least with BotW they said they should have something this year. We had no news on Prime 4 since the restart and straight nothing on Bayonetta 3.

I was one of those weirdos who bought a Wii U because of the Bayonetta 2 announcement. I remember it feeling like a long wait until it released but it was just under two years.

It has been over three years since Bayonetta 3's teaser. Holy shit.
