I tried the marvel one cuz everybody said that one was good but I didnt get very far before I checked out and gave up on it.
it was always super annoying trying to look for the thing youre supposed to interact with, and the gameplay just felt unsatisfying in the couple levels I went thru. Yeah I get harry potter.

I don't really think LEGO Lord of the Rings is very good. It's almost devoid of humour and the quality of the 99% of audio that was ripped from the movies is poor. I don't play LEGO Star Wars to watch Star Wars abridged, but faithfully recreated in LEGO. I play LEGO Star Wars cause of the hilarious comedy version it's created to be. Instead of playing LEGO Lord of the Rings, watch Lord of the Rings while playing LEGO Star Wars. The best of both worlds.
LEGO Hobbit is a much better game, but sadly because LEGO games are basically fastfood products, they just shoved it out there before the third movie was even out and abandoned plans to add it on as DLC later, which was already a stupid plan to begin with.
