Will I end up sending my GPU to an early* death?

Nah. Depending on the card it's normal and others it's probably due for a thermal paste reapply

You should aim for 69 degrees because it is the coolest temperature.

What GPU, at 100% that could be normal.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670. It's about 8-9 years old now.

It's not something I'd be comfortable with, I try to keep my shit below 80

its not going to kill it, but from a quick lookup the card throttles pretty hard at that temperature. drop some settings, mess with the fan curves, and think about replacing the thermal paste.

It's probably in need of fresh thermal paste, but if it's running fine, just leave it or crank the fans

Half the fans in this case are dead. BTW, how would you put fresh thermal paste on it? Remove the card and clean out the old thermal paste?

TC if airflow in your case is fucked then you're not going to fix anything without dealing with that first. take out the broken fans, and either replace them or set it up so you've got at least one fan drawing air in from an unobstructed side and one fan blowing it out the back or top.

to replace thermal paste on a gpu is kind of a pain in the ass, since it involves removing the whole heat sink/fan assembly. you can probably find a youtube video for your specific card.

Does anyone actually ever remove the shroud on a graphics card to reapply thermal paste?
