...be a villain by the end of the show?

Like, she goes full villain and that's when she becomes the Scarlet Witch.

Or are they going to excuse her actions by blaming it all on Agatha, or something?

Personally, I really want to see her turn villain, especially if they do bring in the X-Men and the Brotherhood. It'd be an easy way to lean into that stuff.

I'd prefer that she becomes a villain, tbh.

like, MCU has some sympathetic villains, but it would be cool to actually see a character's progression to that point.

we see her in multiple movies, and her TV series, and we can document how she became a villain throughout her appearances, and if there's ever a redemption arc, it would be more meaningful.

Yeah, it would be cool for the novelty of it as well.

Also I don't think they'd be able to keep her relevant and interesting if they kept her a good guy.

I kind of expect her to be a secondary antagonist for Dr. Strange 2.

No. I never thought that was gonna happen and last episode basically wrote off any chance of that happening.

God, I was hoping so.
But with the "aww, don't you feel sympathetic for Wanda" talk with Quicksilver in Episode 6 and the super campy villain reveal in Episode 7, it's clear that she's going to be completely absolved of responsibility and just feel bad about it for the rest of her appearances whenever they need her character to get sad.

Idk why people keep saying that. Even though Agatha started this, Wanda's still completely responsible for everything since then.

There's still the chance that she teams up with Agatha, or continues to be evil after defeating Agatha, or they kill off her kids and make her lose it even more.

Because it was Agatha All Along. No chance she's teaming up with the lady who manipulated her and is trying to steal her kids.

It's even implied that it's actually been Agatha manipulating the innocent people in the town to be background characters.

The guy who wants Vision is also a bad guy. Which was also a catalyst for this event.

Wanda isn't going to be a villain. The whole show is building up to her having to deal with her grief and loss.

I think that, when the show ends, it will be to the main continuity as if it had never taken place. A supporting character might get a small cameo in a movie. But it's definitely going to be written in such a way that they expect most of the movie fans to not have seen the show.

So, no, I don't think she'll become a villain.

The most interesting part of this will be Monica Rambeau. The rest I can picture going back to the status quo but I'm sure Monica will be relevant for Captain Marvel 2.

the entire point is to sell D+ subs. there is no way they're going to status quo the shows when they didn't for the movies for the last 10 years.

that being said, everything will be able to stand on its own. but stuff from the shows will absolutely be relevant to the movies.

I feel like all they would really need to do is say that Vision's death made her go off the deep end, and not really have to explain the nitty gritty of what exactly went down.

I'd prefer it if the movies didn't require watching the shows, but I dunno how likely that's gonna end up being unfortunately.

By status quo I mean like they're not essential. Most MCU movies aren't really essential to watching something like The Avengers. You just appreciate it more if you did.

Something like Wanda being a villain in the next Doctor Strange movie would be a bit confusing for people who didn't watch the show. But some hints or some dialogue about the show isn't an overly big deal. I think the villain for Doctor Strange 2 will be teased in the final post credits scene for WandaVision.

WV is supposed to lead directly into DS2, so I have a feeling she will be turned. DS2 can just use a few throw away lines to explain it to people that didnt watch the show, but what happens here is going to carry over somehow.

She wont be full blown villain, but something similar to here in the show (distressed woman with powers she cant fully control). She will redeem herself in DS2 and having things settle down, but start tutoring with DS2 so that her next appearance can be her going all out in a fun way.
