I had a lot of fun with blasphemous. I think there were like 7 bosses or so I think.

Sorry I really hated Blasphemous.

I hated how like if your character was pushing up against a wall, he couldnt drop through a platform, or how the aerial downward slice was incredibly delayed because the character did a normal aerial slice first?

Then the hazards were not consistent and only existed to kill you. I am fine with hazards being insanely dangerous.....but when they have zero effect on the enemies around you...that irradiates me. You will have normal enemies jumping around on spikes like lol this doesnt hurt. Or the flea like enemies diving head first through boiling hot lava that falls from the cauldrons.

Games need to have systems and set laws in place, what hurts you should also hurt the enemy as that gives more variety to the combat as well as the chance for new variants or monsters to show up whom have a resistance or immunity to that hazard.

Then theres the useless pickups that are just flavor text/lore. Solid Metroidvanias give every item a purpose and theres rarely a completely useless pickup (unless its for a huge achievement), this isnt a collect-a-thon.

Last complaint is the lack of polish, for examples the textures in important rooms room layout leading up to it. Spread throughout the game are many single importants place that usually consist of one room indivdually. Many of these dont even have custom textures or routes that build up tension to them, theyre just there...all of a sudden....like oh it was this side room in this closet.

The aerial slice thing is janky I agree

The hazards aren't that bad except the Insta death spikes

Most video games let the enemies have different rules. Tons do as well it was just the choice

You get money for them like lots

I think most of them game looks gorgeous and they are constantly putting out updates that polish it add new Cut scenes and voice lines. They've had two free dlc one of them crossing over with Bloodstained
