Yeah. I dont think he ever quite recovered from that HHH feud that made Carlito look like a complete joke.

I hated HHH so much from 2007-2009. But that 2007-2008 Raw run was so terrible for everyone involved. I remember as a kid just being confused when he beat the tag team champs in a handicap match with just a spine buster.

Yeah the whole run was pretty awful. My biggest issue personally was him never actually putting Jeff Hardy over when literally the entire world wanted Jeff to break that glass ceiling, and HHH was positioned as that gatekeeper he needed to beat to do so.

I remember the promo they had him cut on Carlito minutes after having a huge argument backstage with Vince.

A lot of fans thought he was sent out to cut Carlito down because he had heat, but he was actually taking his anger out on him after being pissed at Vince.
