But some of us got to a point where, we don't care to save memories anymore

I guess I just really enjoyed people

On Second Life, they have this function where you can choose to save chat or IMs as logs

Or even instant messaging programs (AIM or MSN, etc)

I used to have those things on all the time

But I don't now cause going back in time isn't usually good for my psyche

I'd rather just enjoy life as it comes

No, because I'm not going to get people in trouble. There are several PotDers on the list, but I think the list is probably over a decade old.
I've since stopped reading it and removed the contents from my memory.

Just to clarify, he has more pages still up with things like birthdays, user ids, and apparently schools (though I haven't seen this particular page myself). I'd venture to guess there are over a thousand user's information there. It's not hard to find.

That's a kinda creepy amount of information to have on people, even if it was originally collected under germane auspices. And even if somebody had consented at the time to providing that information, it's fucked up to hand that information out after all this time.

That seems to be back in the day where you could post somewhat personal info and nobody thought twice about it, before swatting and the like where you can be in real danger.

The times have changed, and certainly not for the better. Granted, even 20 years ago, it was kinda stupid to list personal details online given all of the psychos out there.

I'm still confused, how granular is this info? Keep seeing some people say that it's just cities and states, others saying there are smaller subdivisions and school names, some saying birthdates, etc. And additionally I'm confused as to whether he just got this info from people volunteering it directly to him or if he actually combed over the message boards and picked up on casual mentions.

Regardless, I am super against this kind of information gathering on message boards regardless of who you are or what you plan to do with it. Just like fucking why. Even if you need it to "keep track" of people... no, you don't. It can be hard to remember everyone here and those details can help jog your memory, but if I forget who someone is I move on with my life.

Now obviously if you want to stalk/blackmail people with it then it makes more sense but the issue there really isn't so much with the creepy info gathering itself as much as it is that they're the type of person who would stalk and blackmail

I'm sure he just wanted to know if we were hot
