I can definitely understand birthdays. I mean, we do have the PotD Calendar... And many have given their age. So, birthdays/D.O.B. makes sense. Cities also make sense for certain people. Though, not everyone. School is a weird one. Not many people have given away that information, though some have. But it also sounds like it was mostly CE personnel. So maybe they give away more information... Though, I would be surprised if Ducky (and a few others) were recording any info they saw...

I also heard he had a stockpile of photos, too...

Duckbear's general vibe has always been "I'm collecting information on all of the humans so I can understand them better." Hence all the polls and his tendency to almost never participate in the discussions he starts. In all likelihood, I doubt he ever planned to do anything with the info, he just feels compelled to collect it because that's the only way he believes he'll be able to understand other people.

this topic is very misleading.

it was a gimmick topic i made 17 years ago asking where everyone is from and people thought it be a good idea to start a list so they can know who lives near them and which place had the most people.

i went to a lot of different boards asking everyone and shared the link cause everyone participated and posted since they were interested in knowing who lived near them. it wasn't a secret and everyone was free to post if they wanted to.

i only brought it up again because a former user who now posts on reddit messaged me and i asked if i was the mrduckbear from that time and said he searched up his old username and asked if i could remove him now.

someone who was here almost 20 years ago would remember that was the full story to it and no one was calling it creepy back then and it wasn't moddable. i never did it again after that so people say it was new are lying

there's even an old user, knightmare6 who posted pictures of users and it's still up on his website which is still visible online.

Asking people birthday, personality tests etc. I got suspicious after a bit and stopped answering them because I had this very scenario in mind. Like why did he keep asking for info, it was obvious.

I remember at the least, one or more, lists of personal details that people voluntarily shared... but 2004 seems quite early
