I get the second dose this upcoming Thursday.

Am a little nervous because people here and elsewhere have said that the second one is worse, and I have to drive an hour or more to get home so we'll see how that goes >_>.

You wont get symptoms besides a painful arm for the first 8-12 hours. If anything happens, it will be after that. I got a terrible flu-like illness that lasted almost an entire day. It sucked.

So, I've had a lot of vaccines - typhoid, anthrax, flu every year, probably some other shit. I always just do some push-ups and work the muscles to ease the pain, usually don't have issues.

But this shot... Man I don't want to freak you out but the needle *feels* bigger than what they use for other vaccines, and even after doing some basic exercises and stuff it still felt like I got punched by the Rock lol. That pain only lasted half of a day though, wasn't too long term and of course only felt it when I was moving my arms and stuff.

I did experience some really weird muscle pain/soreness/cramping in my left leg - this started a few days after the vaccine and lasted for about two days. Felt like I had pulled a muscle or worked it out really hard or something. But people on reddit were saying they were feeling similar pain in other parts of their body beyond the shot area itself, too, so that also seems ... like a normal side effect.

Interesting, I wouldnt have expected the pain to spread like that. Ive gotten my first shot, and it didnt feel any different initially, but the arm soreness I felt for the rest of the day was definitely worse than any other vaccine Ive had. Not terrible, I didnt even feel like I needed to take painkillers, but there was a noticeable difference.

I was honestly panicking a little wondering if it was something else. The side effects *do* say "muscle soreness" and I originally assumed that meant ... like in the arm specifically but apparently it can just be muscles in general :| Well, I guess if you can get a headache from this thing it makes sense you could get a leg ache too.

i work in the ER, got my first one on christmas, second in january, only side effects were a sore arm and body aches. also started floating one time

Was a bit achy after the first, so I'm hoping the second isn't too much worse.

My dad just got his first dose yesterday. I'm not expecting to be able to get one until like summer time. He said he got tired from it and took a nap then woke up with a sore arm like flu shot. I've never gotten a flu shot so idk personally how that feels.

Though like I said above I thought the covid vaccine was a lot worse than the flu or any other vaccine I've taken :\ idk could just be psychosomatic.
