Are you doing it for sexual gratification? Consensually? No? Then that's more or less a different story. Being forced to do something isn't going to determine anything about you. That's entirely a separate topic.
It's really weird how steadfastly you refuse to acknowledge the ability to respond to physical stimulation with no mental attraction in a consensual scenario when you can acknowledge it in a non-consensual scenario.

I mean nothing is stopping me from downloading grindr right now and getting topped. I could do that and still wouldn't be attracted to men.

What post itt deals with that argument directly?

Because if you're making the decision to actively engage in an act, then there is responsibility on your end there. You are doing it. You are the one committing to the act. Rape is rape.

This response has nothing to do with what I said.

Do you acknowledge that people can respond to physical stimulation with no mental attraction, yes or no?

Mhm, and choosing to stick your flopper in a man's rectum is an inherently gay act, so doing it with the idea of pleasure is...?

Yet again, there are no such things as "gay acts." But I'm going to consider this conversation with you done now, because you're just repeating the same ignorant shit over and over again despite it's logical flaws being pointed out plainly and repeatedly.

No, honestly it's pretty tiring repeating myself over and over because people like you with extremely flawed logic keep asking me to repeat myself because you refuse to listen to what I'm saying.

I mean, hell, what is the point in having the term sexuality anyway if people's idea of straight can be 'well, I have sex with men and am attracted to men, but I consider myself straight'. It might as well not exist.

You can have sex with someone you aren't attracted to, I think that is the point that you choose to ignore

And you ignored my point to post that. And I assume you will continue to do so.

Though, no, I didn't ignore that. I said, straight up, if you decide to have sex with a man, as a man, fully conscious and lucid with the idea of sexual release in mind, you are being...quite gay. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. But when people push a narrative that it...somehow is not? That can hurt people that are closeted, make them think of excuses rather than embracing who they are and being happier. Repression is a pretty bad thing.

I doubt you're secretly concerned about closeted people. Are closeted people who have straight sex to keep up appearances actually straight? Are you gonna argue that too?

It's not a secret, I've been pretty open with it this entire topic.

I think if you're dealing with a beard, then there is a different intent there. It isn't about sexual release, it's a psychological thing. They tell themselves it's how they feel. It isn't 'oh, damn, I need to get my rocks off, let me get on this hot girl/guy.' The person in question is doing it out of obligation. For appearances, to be 'normal', not out of actual desire to be with a girl/guy.

Well, they aren't 100% gay if they're able to have sex with women in a convincing way... Not all of us have the luxury of being able to get it up with a woman and hide in that way. I would never be able to.

And in that way any male is who is able to willingly have sex with another male is not 100% straight. Maybe it's 99% preference for women, but it sure ain't total.

So you agree you can have sex with someone and not have it determine your orientation. It just depends on the details.

Sure. It just seems like purity test stuff when people say you're gay if you kiss a guy once.

If you only have a sexual encounter once or twice, youre bicurious. Keep returning to the well? Youre bisexual or gay.

People do make way too big a deal about gay guys though imo. Which is why I think articles like this even happen.

I mean plenty of vegetarians are flexible with their diets

I guess my philosophy is just that identity comes from the subject, and someone can't just say "oh you do this? You must be gay"

If two guys are 100% straight and wanted to have sex with each other just for the sake of it, I don't see how they're getting a boner without viagra or something like it.

Men don't turn me on. They never will.

You're grasping hard at straws.

If a gay man forces himself to have sex with a woman, that isn't the same as what I've been talking about.

But you acknowledge that gay people can have sex with the opposite sex because of societal pressure and not be straight. That's not really being forced.

Good example.

Yup, and it sure as hell is something they have trouble with, if my friend who has personal experience in the matter is to be believed.

Just like gay men weren't "straight" just because they have sex and family with a woman.

I dunno when these things became so complicated. I feel like if you're a guy and feel like you could have sex with another guy "just to get off" you're at least bi or unsure of your sexuality. Not like we're at a point in time where you'd be blasted for coming out for that, thankfully--and if you are for whatever reason ridiculed for it there's at least a lot of open areas/people/communities for support which is fantastic. Not a fix-all but better than it was even 10~20 years ago.

Speaking as someone who never really had an issue with that, which means I'm probably at least a little ignorant on the subject, I've never been horny enough to consider doing anything sexual with another guy, and I've gone... a long time without sex in one part of my life, and I wasn't depressed or on anything to stunt urges. Even then, I'd say if you aren't gay and had got so horny you'd consider it, you're probably just the sort that has little impulse control regardless of circumstance. I'd say it's more about immediate gratification than even sex at that point.
