I think a timeline playthrough & analysis would be a blast but only if people were genuinely interested in reading it. I'd play through the games in their canon order and then discuss their place in the story and how they connect and interact with other games in the series before and after. I aim to make it a pretty breezy, casual read so you wouldn't have to be a hardcore canon expert to enjoy it and it would be a pretty fast paced topic since I know the games like the back of my hand and I would aim to finish it before the release of RE8. What you can expect: Complete coverage of all canon events (ranging from games to movies to novellas to musicals) Occasional discussion of non-canon media (Operation Raccoon City, RE comics) and how they could potentially connect to and inform canon events Comparison between original games and the RE Engine remakes General story beats, character profiles/history, Easter eggs & tidbits What I wouldn't be covering: RE mangas (they're interesting but way too much of their own thing to fit in coherently anywhere) SD Perry novels (while some of the original books offer some stuff to talk about in regards to the main canon it's best to just disregard these) Anything related to the live-action films Character appearances in non-RE games Pachinko machines If this is something you would like to see, please let me know! I wouldn't start it until March 22 just to give me time to prepare a few things and well, that's when the anniversary is.
