I had finished the Arthur part a long time ago and played a little bit of the John part but was like nah I beat it.

then randomly today I decided to pop it in again for the first time in forever. And finished the John part. Just killed Micah. That felt good.

I wish going back and playing RDR1 now wouldnt feel so dated. Its like going to Mario 1 after beating Mario 3.

I really do think RDR2 is the greatest game of the 3D era of video games.

Repetitive missions but beautiful environment.

Great dialogue but boring missions.

I wish the physics and mechanics didnt try to emulate reality.

Lol Rockstar credits are notoriously long, I remember GTA 4 and 5 having absurdly long credits after you beat the game too

I was reading all the names thinking damn it really took this many people to make this shit, and then I was like I wonder how many people are on here who did jack shit and their name just ended up on the credits list and they dont even know theyre there

I went in with relatively low expectations since I thought RDR was just okay and have never really cared for GTA beyond just dicking around but it blew me away. Easily one of the best games of the gen. Unlike anything I've played before. My only small issue with it is Rockstar likes to make really story and character focused games and then remembers they're making a shooter, so every mission ends with you mowing down dozens of dudes out of nowhere. There's no way the O'Driscoll's or the random Swamp Folk have hundreds of people in their gangs.
