Have you ever had nobody show up at your birthday party?

I once had some kid show up a week early to my sixth birthday party. That was funny, I was still in my underwear when he knocked on my door.

There was once when my brother and I had a joint birthday party and it seemed like most people acted like it was just his birthday and not mine?

I had two friend groups in high school and one didn't like the other so they didn't show up to one of my birthday parties once, but the other did.

No, I thought no one would come to like my 10th birthday because if was a pool party and it was pouring all morning. But people came and then it stopped raining so we could go swimming.

Never had one. Also had no one that should have come. So it worked itself out.

I kinda feel like one person (out of several) showing up would be more depressing than no one. Still, never happened to me as a kid. I only had a few parties but always had 3+ people show up for them.

One reason that I don't have birthday parties is because I'm afraid no one will show up.

No. I don't think I had a ton of birthday parties. Like big ones. I did have sleepovers instead sometimes. People always showed up to that. And they also showed up to any regular parties I had. At the very least, I was well known, if not popular...

Had my friends not shown up to the party, I still would have had family. I had a bunch of cousins within 3 years of me. And we still would have played together. So, there's that, as well...

My Grandma's birthday is 6 days after mine, and my sister's is the day before. We normally have separate birthdays, but we once had a joint one. There were three cake. One was a picture of my sister (those cake where you can print a picture on it), one was a cake that said, "Happy Birthday, <Little sister's name>", and the other said, "Happy Birthday <Little sister's name>, <My name>, and <My grandma's name>!" So, I know the feeling. Obviously, the whole family was there for a all three. And we had our friends who celebrated, as well... But it was kind of weird... My sister got 2 & 1/3 cakes dedicated to her. And my grandma and I got 1/3 each, so...

I feel that's rude. My friend's have put aside differences to celebrate my birthday instead of being this petty... But I guess it depends on the people and why they didn't like each other...

What about people from school?

Actually, one girl made it work. After the party, they became best friends. There was some story online about it. It seemed sad, but had a happy ending, I guess...

3 also isn't a bad number in some case. My best friend once had a party where he invited me, A a friend of both of ours (his mom was basically aftercare for many of the school students), and a friend of his that was a year younger (that I saw a few time years later when I went the same school as him for a little while)...

I remember being worried about this, too. But part of the reason why was that I was the new kid...

Ive only really ever had one actual bday party (the kind youre referring to ie organised by parents with kids invited) and thats when I was turning 13, errbody showed up.

In later years when a bday party would be inviting 20-30 to go to a club and/or dinner yeah obvs some people would show up and some wouldnt thats just life

I threw a party for my 30th birthday, and no one showed up. Granted, I only invited three people, but still.

I think the only time that actually happens is in sitcoms, since usually you can get commitments from people. When I was young -- if you can imagine me ever being young -- my folks limited how many kids could come to my birthday parties so even if somebody couldn't make it, I wound up inviting somebody else.
