Have you ever seen the state of Oregon outside of the Portland area? 90% of that state is rual farmlands and vast amounts of nothingness. Outside of the major metropolitan areas it's definitely a red state.

Yeah my parents live in Mulino, I'm well aware of how rural it is, it doesn't change that the vast majority of the population are more blue than red.
